Welcome to the new License Management Page in Advanced Ads! We’ve redesigned how you manage your subscriptions, licenses, and add-ons to make installing, updating, and upgrading as seamless as possible right from your WordPress dashboard.
This guide will walk you through connecting your account, managing your add-ons, enabling auto-updates, and upgrading your subscription.
Getting Started: Connecting or Purchasing a License
When you navigate to the License Page in the Advanced Ads plugin, you will see two options:
- Connect License: Use this option if you already have an active or expired subscription with Advanced Ads. Simply enter your account credentials to log in and sync your license with your site.
- Buy License: Use this option if you are currently using the free version of Advanced Ads or need to purchase a new subscription.
Purchasing a New License directly from WordPress:
- Click Buy License.
- Select your preferred subscription plan (e.g., Advanced Ads Pro, All Access Single, or All Access 5 Sites).
- You will be redirected to the secure checkout page.
- Existing customers: Log in with your credentials.
- New customers: Fill in your details to automatically create a new account.
- Complete your payment information and click Buy Now.
- Once payment is successful, you will automatically be redirected back to your WordPress dashboard with your new license activated!
Understanding Your License Overview
Once connected, your License Dashboard displays essential information about your subscription:
| Field | Description |
|---|---|
| Subscription / License Type | Displays your plan (e.g., All Access Single, All Access 5 Sites, or Advanced Ads Pro). |
| License Status | Shows your current store status (Active or Inactive). |
| Activated Sites | Shows the URL of the current site and any other domains where your license is active. |
| License Expiration / Renewal Date | Displays the date your license will expire or automatically renew. |
| Auto Updates | Toggles automatic updates on or off for individual add-ons. |
Note on “Inactive” Status: If your license status displays as Inactive, it does not mean your license key is invalid! It simply means an add-on needs to be activated on the current site.
Installing & Managing Add-ons
How you manage add-ons depends on whether you hold an All-Access Subscription or Single Add-on Subscriptions.
All-Access Subscriptions
If you own an All-Access Pass, all available Advanced Ads add-ons are included in your subscription.
Installing Add-ons:
- Individual Add-on: Click Download and Install next to any specific add-on. The plugin will download, install, and activate it automatically.
- Bulk Installation: Click Activate All at the top of the list to download and enable all included add-ons at once.
Deactivating Add-ons:
- Individual Add-on: Click Deactivate next to a running add-on to disable it. You can also re-activate it anytime from either this page or the standard WordPress Plugins page.
- Bulk Deactivation: Click Deactivate All to disable all active add-ons simultaneously.
Single Add-on Subscriptions
If you purchased individual add-ons (such as Advanced Ads Pro or AMP Ads), your license page will list those specific items separately.
- Click Download and Activate next to the add-on you want to install.
- The plugin will check your available site activations:
- Activation Available: (e.g., 4 of 6 used) – The add-on will immediately download and activate on your site.
- Activation Limit Reached: If you have already activated the license on all allowed sites, you will receive a notification prompting you to manage or upgrade your license limits.
Setting Up Auto-Updates
Keep your site secure and up to date without manual effort!
- Locate the Auto Updates toggle next to your add-on(s).
- Enabled: When a new update is released, Advanced Ads will automatically update in the background without requiring manual action.
- Disabled: You will receive a standard update notification on your WordPress Plugins page, where you can manually click Update Now.
Upgrading or Renewing Your Subscription
Need to add more site licenses or renew an expired plan?
- Click the Manage button on your License Dashboard.
- Select your upgrade path (e.g., upgrading from All Access Single to All Access 5 Sites).
- You will be redirected to the checkout page to pay the prorated difference.
- Upon completion, you’ll return to your site, where your new plan details and site limits will instantly update.
Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ)
Why does my license status say “Inactive”?
An “Inactive” status usually means that your account is connected, but the specific add-on isn’t active on your current WordPress installation yet. Click Download & Install or Activate next to the add-on to resolve this.
Can I downgrade my subscription from the dashboard?
Downgrades cannot be processed directly through the license dashboard. If you wish to lower your plan, please reach out to our customer support team.
What happens if I hit my activation limit?
If you see an “Activation limit reached” notification, you won’t be able to activate the add-on on additional sites until you either deactivate an existing site or click Manage to upgrade to a plan with more site slots.
