Selling Ads FAQ

The Selling Ads add-on empowers you to automate the process of selling ads on your website. It enables you to define various “ad products” that advertisers can choose from. You can sell ads based on different pricing models, such as per day, impressions, or clicks. Additionally, you can set the specific placements where the ad products will be visible.

Once an advertiser purchases an ad, an ad product is automatically created with a “draft” status. The advertiser receives an email with a link to the ad setup page, where they can upload the ad content. After submitting the content, the ad status changes to “pending”, and the site admin is notified to review the ad. If the ad content is not approved, the admin can reject it, and the advertiser can re-upload new content. Upon approval, the ad is published and injected into the chosen placement.

The Selling Ads add-on is built on WooCommerce. This popular e-commerce plugin supports various payment methods, including PayPal, Stripe, credit cards, direct bank transfers, and more. You can extend these payment gateways, e.g., with Klarna, Payoneer, or Amazon Pay using WooCommerce payment add-ons. Advertisers can select their preferred payment method during the checkout process.
